Most of the people I get into Real Estate discussions with have A LOT of questions about the home buying process. Which is perfect! Because I like discussing the topic and helping people to understand the process from beginning to end.
Here are a few hot topics I come across daily.
1. When do I start my search?
You can start your search at any time. But the BEST time is after you are pre-approved for a loan. That way we can take your "wants" in a home, and factor in the monthly mortgage payment to find the perfect home for you.
2. I WANT I WANT I WANT
Knowing the differences between "I want" and "I need" are 2 very different things. If you WANT a pool, that's great! We can include that into your searches. If you NEED a 3-car garage, that's great too! That's a definite no questions asked NEED.
3. Which home did we just visit?
When my clients want to go see 3-4 houses in a given day, I tell them the best way to remember the homes is to take pictures. Lots of pictures. Start with the front elevation and then to the inside. That way it is organized in your phone. Most of the time we run into the problem that when we are finished with the 4th house, they cannot remember the 1st house we saw.
