Hurricane Preparedness Explained...


Hurricanes. They're a way of life here in Florida. We have been lucky to not get hit by any large storms lately in Orlando, but they do happen. I still remember when Charlie hit. We were out of power for 14 days. Sleeping in the heat, taking cold showers, eating dinner out of a can... not terribly exciting times, but hey, at least I was out of school :)


I like to be very prepared. I'm not talking about storm shelters and attack of the zombies prepared... but prepared to keep my family safe, fed, and basically sanitary during times of power loss after a storm.


I want to explain this in a few blog posts. I have done a lot of research, and some common sense objectives, on what to do during a storm and how to be prepared for afterwards...
